Terri and Erik's Rancho Bernardo Winery Wedding

Terri & Erik
Married on: September 18, 2009

It all began with a Craigslist Post...

Which soon turned into LOVE...

Then the wedding invites were sent out...

She was just too beautiful... how could he resist!
Make Up: ACMakeUp

They called the ones they loved and asked them to stand by them on their special day!

Meet the Bridesmaids:
and the Groomsmen:

It was a beautiful day...

The scene was set...
Venue: Rancho Bernardo Winery

The guys were ready!

This was TRUE LOVE!

They decided to begin in the journey of life together...

With each step she took in her Marc Jacob Heels (cute heart detailed peep toe and heel) she knew they were only getting closer to the adventure of a lifetime... Marriage!

They made it to their destination at the front of the alter and the butterflies flew away-

They said their vows, confessed their love, and he kissed his bride...

Let the Party Begin:

Reception and all of the beautiful details!!!

They used cigar boxes as vases and placed a wine bottle at each table as the table number and what a beautiful centerpiece they made.
Florist: Rae Florae

The Bride and Groom engraved their names and wedding date onto wooden fans and gave them out to all their guests to keep them cool on this warm September day.

This was the kids table... the perfect kids table- butcher paper substituted for a table cloth and there were crayons galore.. each child also got a bag full of goodies including: stickers, bubbles, small toys, etc. And instead of wine bottle centerpiece the kids got a Martinelli's bottle!

The tables were set to perfection.. black table cloths, wine colored napkins, cork coasters as favors, and the most beautiful and creative centerpieces.

The Bridal Bouquet- Just stunning. As an extra personal and special touch the bride added this stunning butterfly broach.

The cake was AMAZING- covered with cascading sugar butterflies...
Cake: Joanne Hansen (call Couture Events for contact info)

The couple asked for five minutes alone after the ceremony just to be together. This alone time was a beautiful thing and I believe more Brides and Grooms should take these five minutes in the midst of the hustle and bustle!

When Asked: YOUR MARRIED, Now What?

The Couple Replied, "DISNEY WORLD!!!! "

They were such a joy to work with- their amazing personalities shined!

First dance at dusk... just as the sun was setting!

Then they danced into the night and had their grand departure surrounded by friends and family and bubbles galore.

This is one of the most spectacular weddings I have done yet! There were so many amazing details about their wedding and I could not be happier for them! Such an awesome wedding day for an amazing couple...

Congrats Terri and Erik!!!
Love,
Krystel Tien

A Seaside Event

Have you ever considered having your special event at a park? Well neither did I until this past weekend, where we planned a wedding for a rock star couple that chose to hold their ceremony at a La Jolla Beach followed by their reception at the ultra-trendy Hard Rock Hotel in Downtown, San Diego. Perhaps the best part was that their dreams of a beach wedding came true at a price everyone can afford!

In order to reserve a spot at a San Diego Park, you simply have to obtain a permit for a small fee! With all the beautiful beaches San Diego has to offer, you are sure to find the perfect spot as you can choose from a handful of beaches and parks including Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Balboa Park, and more!

Cuvier Park, also known as the Wedding Bowl!

Calumet Park in La Jolla

Mission Hills Park

Ellen Browning Scripps Beach

Golden Hill Community Park in Balboa!

Just visit http://www.sandiego.gov/park-and-recreation/general-info/bestsites.shtml#weddings to find your coastal heaven!

Candelas by the Bay- Amazing Venue!

Last night Joel (my husband) and I were invited to have dinner at Candelas by the Bay in Coronado! It was one of the best meals I have ever had and one of the best views I have ever seen! First we were given a tour by their Sales & Banquet Coordinator, Kim Maniero, she is fantastic and showed us every inch of the restaurant. She also showed us the grass and sand areas they have for ceremonies. The backdrop is the harbor and San Diego skyline, you can't beat that!

The restaurant has a very contemporary and romantic ambiance. This venue can seat up to 200 guests for a reception. The cuisine is mexican with a french twist. Our waiter, Dan, catered to our every need. He had suggestions and knew what he was talking about. He started us off with Ensalada De Espinacas- A fresh spinach salad with walnuts, thin apple slices, and a light mozzarella cheese served with a honey dijon vinaigrette- it was exquisite! Then we moved onto our entree's I had the Polla a la Diabla- Chicken breast stuffed with ham and mozzarella cheese, served with mashed potatoes and veggies. To finish it all of we had a strawberry sponge cake with a lightly whipped cream filling and soaked in a delicious cream, IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I would recommend this venue to anyone for a special occasion meal or an amazing wedding! You can find Candelas on Coronado Island at
1201 First street #115, Coronado CA 92118
or online at www.candelas-coronado.com .

Thanks again Candelas for the fantastic night out!
We are excited about working together in the future!
Love,
Krystel & Joel

Marie and Nick's Venue

Marie and Nick- My first bride and groom. Wedding planning is going well so far. I have really enjoyed getting to know this couple. As we go through the whole process I will let you know how it is all coming together. They have picked their venue after looking at many last Sunday. They decided on the Bali Hai on Shelter Island.

The View is amazing! If you stand on the rocks you see in the picture and look across you see all of downtown San Diego. This is the perfect venue for their fairytale wedding!

Now its time to start putting together all of the details! So exciting!!!
