2010 Wedding Trend: Unique Party Favors

One Wedding trend in 2010 is the personal intimate feel of the whole event by distinctively personalizing wedding details. Giving your wedding that personal touch makes guest remember your day for a lifetime. One of my favorite ways of showing personality styles is in homemade favors. Take an idea or an item and make it a special gift rather than giving your guest something they may throw away. Some of my favorite wedding favors are:

Eco-friendly favors..

Fortune cookies...

CD with a song or songs for guest to remember the day...

Or a theme favor!

I wanted to take the time to introduce you to one of the newest florists in the industry- Blush Boutanical’s. Blush Botanical’s is a fresh innovative florist with a fun loving environment. Also, if you are looking to add a sweet touch to your wedding they offer customized cupcakes as a unique twist to the wedding cake or a delicious parting gift for your guests. Wedding Favors

Whether you give sweet treats or gifts that reflect the couple’s hobbies or wedding theme, unique wedding favors can be a kind way to thank your guests and leave a lasting impression.  Some couples choose local products such as a couple’s favorite jam, a nearby bakery’s cookies or locally sourced honey.  Elements of the wedding can also be captured in the favors such as a pot of mini planted herbs that play off of a wedding’s garden location. Finally, couples can integrate their hobbies into their favors such as a bookmark given by avid readers.

Reanna's Secret Garden Birthday

It was one of my best friends birthdays this past friday and I decided that I wanted to throw her an intimate garden style birthday dinner party. I asked her to give me the names of her 12 closest girlfriends and that I would do the rest...

Here are all of the details:

I made favor boxes for each setting... This is the birthday girls favor box. She loved the dove charm...

I hung pictures of her and everyone coming to the party in the trees that surrounded us...Each ornament was made from Scrap-book paper, photos, and stickers...

I placed mini cupcakes from Heavenly Cupcake at each place setting.

I had everyone write a message to Reanna... Their message could be words of wisdom, words of encouragement, love notes, favorite moments, etc...
Then I had them hang it in the trees and then through out the night one at a time each girl would get up and share their personal message with Reanna in front of everyone and then hang it on her Wreath of LOVE... which you will see it below!

Gerber Daisies are her favorite flower so I tried to incorporate them as much as possible!

Black and White shot... Classy!

I used light pink roses to add the soft tea/garden touch to the table.

This is the Wreath of love... after each girl wrote a message and then read it aloud to Reanna they tied it onto this wreath which she got to take home at the end of the night as her birthday gift! I placed a butterfly at the top and two little birds in at the bottom just to add special touches...

The Birthday Girl!!

All of us...

At each setting their was a mini cupcake, favor box with charm sewed on, and a gerber daisy.

Happy 24th Reanna! This was such an amazing night and I know that Reanna knew how much she was loved... it was the perfect girlie dinner party. LOVE YOU!
Love,
Krystel

How Sweet it is to be Loved by You!

Many brides have loved the idea of candy buffets. I have to say that I absolutely adore this new trend of candy buffets. I think they are such a fun idea and can add such a sweet décor to a reception.

Candy buffets are really easy to do, and you can create the perfect look for your wedding style and theme. Try going for a monochromatic look with all your candies that match your wedding colors, or just go all out with all your favorite candies.

Not only is a candy buffet a complimentary sugar rush for your guests, it also can take the place of your wedding favors and be the perfect thank you for attending your wedding.

It is so easy to take this idea and go with it. Put your own thoughts and creativity in it. You really can’t go wrong with candy buffets, just remember to have fun, make it an important and stylish part of your reception and let you and your guests satisfy that sweet tooth.
