Spotlight: Blush Botanicals

I wanted to take the time to introduce you to one of the newest florists in the industry- Blush Boutanical’s. Blush Botanical’s is a fresh innovative florist with a fun loving environment. As best friends, Alex and Brittany have attended a floral design school in Los Angeles and grown together as they found their niche for flowers and confections. By combining Britney’s avant-garde style and Alex’s traditional style, the two have created a clean modern look in all of their arrangements. Also, if you are looking to add a sweet touch to your wedding they offer customized cupcakes as a unique twist to the wedding cake or a delicious parting gift for your guests. It is clear these two love everything about what they do as they get to laugh and be creative while they hang out with their best friend every day. Check out their website at www.blushbotanicals.com to see what special touch they can create for your special day! We are excited about working with them and I know that you will be too.

Bridal Bazaar, Winter 2010

Last weekend we had an amazing booth at the Bridal Bazaar! This Bridal Bazaar was held at the San Diego Convention Center. I designed our booth to convey our shabby chic style. We brought most of the furniture from our office and we had one of our favorite florists, The Floral Department, design all of the florals which really brought the booth to life! The mock up table was the centerpiece of our booth and we had menus and name cards designed by Nic. Roc. Designs.  Everything was pretty perfect and the day went really well! Here are a few photos that Teale from Teale Photography took of our booth! I love them... Thanks so much Teale!
More to come ...

I want to say thanks to all of my friends, family, and brides & grooms who stopped by our booth to supported us! I also have to send a very very special Thank You to Joel (my husband), Mom, Dad, and Karina (my amazing assistant) for helping me move everything in and taking everything out ! It was a wonderful day! I can't wait to do my next Bridal Show! We did get a lot of great feedback and have already booked some amazing weddings for 2010.
Love you all!

Centerpieces for Every Wedding!

Centerpieces are such a beautiful accent to the reception. They liven up a table and continue the theme and elegance of the wedding ceremony. However, do not feel like you need to limit your centerpieces to flowers. There are so many different ideas and ways to add decoration to your tables with more than just flowers! Not only will this be an opportunity to help budget your wedding, but also it allows you to be more creative, and adds a fun and unique approach to the traditional centerpiece look.

To bring in a romantic feel try using mirrors and candles. You can also add a bold, colorful and fresh look with fruit, such as lemons. If you are having a fall wedding try grains and dried grasses. I love the idea of making a coral and seashell centerpiece for a beach wedding. There are really so many different ideas and amazing things you can do to make your reception tables look stunning without one flower.

Shoes and Handbags...

What girl doesn't love shoes and handbags? That's why I decided to make them the centerpieces for FIDM San Diego's Graduation Dinner! I wanted to make something fashion oriented for their dinner and I wanted it to look chic and sophisticated. Here are some shots of the beautiful arrangements. These really exceeded my expectations when they came together so perfectly because I am not a florist... YET! ; )
