Couture Events Office, Little Italy

Step into the world of
This is our office in Little Italy!

1665 Union Street
San Diego, CA 92101
Photos by the amazing and talented Reanna McHugh from
We opened the office in October 2009. It took a few months to work on all of the details! I think I will always be continually working on it, always adding and redesigning where I feel needed but for now it's PERFECT! A little bit of vintage lace and a whole lotta LOVE!

We are located on the second floor of an old victorian home! Since it is a victorian home and we love all things vintage we decided to create an eclectic feel and combine it with shabby chic style!

I share the office with two amazing women who also happen to be spectacular wedding vendors!
Nic. Roc. Designs- Invitation and stationary design! Specializing in custom design invitation for those who dare to make a colorful statement! Their Philosophy- Vibrant and Unpredictable.
Teale Photography- Wedding, Event, and Portrait Photography! She specializes in weddings and loves love. Her passion for photography began in her travels around the world in the attempts to capture priceless unforgettable faces. She loves knowing that no matter where she goes there will be new colors and faces to tell stories. Each wedding has many faces and tells a beautiful story.

Meet Shaffer our Beta fish- We named him after the first owner of the historic home our office is located in.

Come and relax anytime in our Little Italy Office! We would love to meet with you! One of the wonderful benefits of being located in Little Italy is the multitude of Italian restaurants a couple of blocks away. So after our meeting (or maybe even during our meeting) you/we can head on down to Mimmos for a wonderful italian meal or to Pappalecco  for some gelato or coffee! So please come stop by, tell us all about your wedding or event and let us take care of the rest and while you are here enjoy a bit of Little Italy!
Hope to see you all soon! Please remember to make an appointment before you stop by.

2010 Wedding Trend: Unique Party Favors

One Wedding trend in 2010 is the personal intimate feel of the whole event by distinctively personalizing wedding details. Giving your wedding that personal touch makes guest remember your day for a lifetime. One of my favorite ways of showing personality styles is in homemade favors. Take an idea or an item and make it a special gift rather than giving your guest something they may throw away. Some of my favorite wedding favors are:

Eco-friendly favors..

Fortune cookies...

CD with a song or songs for guest to remember the day...

Or a theme favor!

Wedding Trend: Nature

One wonderful recent wedding trend is related to an enchanted forest: inspired by earthy and heavenly ethereal weddings.  Soft, romantic elements and pastel shades are prominent, while whimsical details add to the attractiveness of this trend.  Hair and makeup are taking cues from the nature-inspired wedding trend this year, with soft, natural, and very personalized styles. Soft, flowing curls are the biggest wedding day hair look for 2010.  Overall, with this trend the bride’s personality and dress are the starting point for this look.
