A Remarkable Intern... She will be greatly missed!

Good Morning Couture Readers-
This past week has been so busy and very bitter sweet. One of my best interns graduated (which is wonderful) and is now moving back home (which I am really sad about)! She was truly remarkable- very reliable and so much fun. She will missed greatly but we wish her all the best! Love you Britt! I know that you will do well and exceed everyone's expectations. Keep in touch let us know how are you doing and when you will be back in SD. Thanks so much for everything, you are amazing!
Love,
Krystel & the Couture Events Team

I asked her to write a letter about her experience at Couture Events as one of her final blogs.

This is what she wrote:

"Starting out my very last semester in college was stressful. I came back from my Christmas vacation and all I could focus on was that I needed an internship to finish college. My degree is in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in event management. I was worried about not finding anything worthwhile until one day I stumbled across this website www.coutureeventssd.com and I was amazed! I felt like this website represented everything I thought an event company should be.

After a few e-mails and interview I started helping Krystel with her events. The past four months that I have been with Couture have been so meaningful to me. Not only has it been such a blast working with Krystel -we have such a good time together, but I have learned so much that will help me as I transition from college to the "real world". Everything we have done has been successful and so enjoyable. Our bridal show, meetings with brides, and especially our upcoming Bridal Barbie Pamper Me Party! This will be my last event with Krystel before I move back home and I am SO excited for it! We have been working hard to make it a fun night for everyone :)

It is hard to believe that college has come to an end - 4 years went by SO fast! However; I could not be more thankful to have the opportunity to work for and learn from Couture Events and Krystel. I have loved every minute and will definitely miss being around. So, thank you for everything and don't you worry...I will be back in SD before you know it so you can't get rid of me just yet ;-)

Sincerely,
Brittany Campbell"

Candelas by the Bay- Amazing Venue!

Last night Joel (my husband) and I were invited to have dinner at Candelas by the Bay in Coronado! It was one of the best meals I have ever had and one of the best views I have ever seen! First we were given a tour by their Sales & Banquet Coordinator, Kim Maniero, she is fantastic and showed us every inch of the restaurant. She also showed us the grass and sand areas they have for ceremonies. The backdrop is the harbor and San Diego skyline, you can't beat that!

The restaurant has a very contemporary and romantic ambiance. This venue can seat up to 200 guests for a reception. The cuisine is mexican with a french twist. Our waiter, Dan, catered to our every need. He had suggestions and knew what he was talking about. He started us off with Ensalada De Espinacas- A fresh spinach salad with walnuts, thin apple slices, and a light mozzarella cheese served with a honey dijon vinaigrette- it was exquisite! Then we moved onto our entree's I had the Polla a la Diabla- Chicken breast stuffed with ham and mozzarella cheese, served with mashed potatoes and veggies. To finish it all of we had a strawberry sponge cake with a lightly whipped cream filling and soaked in a delicious cream, IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I would recommend this venue to anyone for a special occasion meal or an amazing wedding! You can find Candelas on Coronado Island at
1201 First street #115, Coronado CA 92118
or online at www.candelas-coronado.com .

Thanks again Candelas for the fantastic night out!
We are excited about working together in the future!
Love,
Krystel & Joel

Bedazzled by Mindy

Beadazzled By Mindy

Our featured vendor for this week is Beadazzled by Mindy!! The jewelry and accessories she designs are so beautiful and one of a kind! Definitely pieces that would make you feel special on your wedding day. She carries so many elegant pieces ranging from colorful necklaces to sparkly hair accessories that include tiaras, hairpins, and combs. My personal favorite is her Lariat necklace. It’s so cute and can be worn draping down your front or back and even comes in several different styles! Make sure to take a look at http://www.beadazzledbymindy.com/ndy.com/. You won’t be disappointed!
